The festival, set in the town of Hay-on-Wye and enjoying the backdrop of the beautiful Brecon Beacons, now holds a prominent in British culture. Our static caravan park is conveniently located a mere 30-minute drive from the festival, allowing our guests to easily visit and return on the same day.

Kington Show

Kington Show is one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in the country and will be heldΒ again this year on the second Saturday in September.

With its roots firmly embedded in farming, the show brings together the local community and provides a setting for all to enjoy a fantastic day out.

The show has managed to blend the traditional agricultural feel of livestock and horticultural competitions with the lively entertainment and shopping opportunities popular in many of today’s county shows.

This annual walk is now in its 18th year running and is run by the Ludlow Marches Food & Drink Festival Team. The walk is all about enjoyment – walkers explore a different route each year around the beautiful unspoilt countryside soaking up the wonderful scenery, whilst stopping for several refreshments along the way. At each stop walkers are given the opportunity to taste locally produced food and beverages including ale, perry, cider or other locally produced drinks.

Held at the historic Ludlow Castle, this highly successfully annual food festival was the first of its kind in the UK and has now been running for over 20 years. Visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the supreme, locally produced food and drink showcased at the event by 180 plus exhibitors. There is much to learn with fantastic demonstrations and talks, as well as the opportunity to participate in masterclasses and workshops. The festival spirit permeates the whole town and there are numerous other food related activities taking place.

The annual Kington Walking Festival is held every September and lasts for four days – the festival provides a wonderful opportunity for walkers to explore the beauty of the surrounding landscapes rich in natural history, geology, local history and stunning scenery. Within easy reach of our caravan park, the Kington Walking Festival provides a rewarding day out.

This exciting two-day event run by the VSCC, returns annually to our town of Presteigne, providing the opportunity to view a fantastic assortment of vintage vehicles competing in classic trials such as the Smatcher Hill Climb. Our caravan park will be full of vintage cars, preparing for the hill climb – offering much fun for the whole family as well as a chance to view these historic cars in action.

The Hay Walking Festival is set in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, a region rich not only in scenic beauty but also geologically. The walks programme is open to all abilities and has something for a wide range of interests, offering the opportunity to explore woodlands, hills, moorland, nature reserves, ancient sites and much more. Walks are graded according to difficulty and cater for avid hill walkers to families with young children. The walking festival is easily accessible from our static caravan park, providing a fantastic option for daytime activities.

A highly popular winter activity, the Royal Welsh Fair is held at the showground in Llanelwedd. This two-day event offers a fun day out for all – featuring hundreds of competitions and auctions to showcase the finest prize-winning livestock in Europe. Visitors come from all over the country and beyond to compete and admire the animals, take part in the festivities and do some Christmas shopping at the numerous trade-stands, selling everything from the finest foods to clothes and equipment.

The Winter Weekend takes place just before Christmas and includes a wide range of events which take place across different venues in the town.
