📍 Elan Valley Dams at Rhayader

The Elan Valley Estate is an area of spectacular beauty and abundant wildlife right in the heart of mid Wales. The 73 mile long aqueduct, dams and reservoirs of the estate were constructed over 100 years ago in response to the growing need for the provision of clean water to the city of Birmingham during the industrial revolution. The Elan Valley not only provides visitors with the opportunity to visit the dams, but also to enjoy the stunning natural scenery.
